Swimming Lessons at the Aquatic Centre

Next week we will have swimming lessons each day at the Aquatic Centre. Piwakawaka (Sarah) class will leave at 9.00 (9.30 lesson) and Kakapo (Jane) class will leave at 9.30 (10.00 lesson). If you are able to walk with us/help, please let us know. As we have limited change room space, it is not suitable for prams or toddlers to join us. You are most welcome to come and watch your child's lesson. To make getting changed much easier for us, we would like the students to wear their PE gear to school with their togs underneath. Sandals or slip on shoes would also make it much quicker. They will also need their hats, underwear, tog or plastic bag, towel and goggles (there are also goggles available to borrow at the pool).

School Athletics

On Tuesday it is our School Athletics Day.  It is held at Saxton Athletic Field.  The junior school are being transported by bus to and from the event.  We will leave school around 9am and return to school around 12.30 lunchtime.

The students need to wear their PE gear and running shoes to school.  They will need their school hat, their warm polar fleece and sunscreen.  They will also need morning tea, lunch and their water bottle.

The day begins with whole school sprint races.  Mrs Trolle will be on warm up before they run to help with any nerves!

After the junior school has finished sprint races, we move off to our junior school rotations.  There are 6 rotations run by the teachers.  Parents walk with each group of junior school children to each event.  When the rotations are finished, we will travel back to school by bus.

Costumes for the School Performance (Week 10)

Costumes for the School Performance (Week 10)

Piwakawaka and Kakapo classes are dressing up as elves for our school performance being held in week 10 (very cute!).

We have already got the hats sorted and will need a couple of parents to sew/glue some elf ears on them (please let us know if you’d like this job).

Mr Phillips would like the children to wear either a green, a red or a white T shirt as their costume.  We thought it would be good to let you know early, so that you can be on the look out for a bargain at Kmart, The Warehouse or Postie J

Thank you!
